I have worked on texts on a whole host of topics, but have particular expertise in the following areas due to the professional roles I held before becoming a freelance translator:

I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), an Associate Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), an Associate Member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ) and a Member of the Association of Nordic Editors and Translators (NEaT).

My educational background is in law (Bachelor of Laws with German, University of Glasgow), EU law, human rights law and international law (Post-grad Cert, Europa-Institut, Saarbrücken), and Translation (Post-grad Cert, Centre for Translation & Interpreting Studies in Scotland, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh). In addition to Scotland, where I grew up, I have lived and worked in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg,  Sweden and Switzerland.
